Charly Manson (real name Jesús Luna Pozos) is a Mexican professional wrestler born February 18, 1975 in Torreon, Coahuila, Mexico. He is known by his stage name Charly Manson, which he borrowed from American musician Marilyn Manson, which is reflected in his image and style.
Early years and early career
Jesus Luna began training in wrestling under Hombre Ball and debuted in October 1990. He initially performed under the names Jim Kata, Dinamita Luna and El Cazador, but these images did not bring him much popularity.
Period in AAA
In March 1998, Luna joined Asistencia Asesoría y Administración (AAA), where he adopted the name Charly Manson, inspired by Marilyn Manson. He co-founded the group Los Vatos Locos, which won the Mexican National Atómicos Championship title in February 1999.
Injuries and comeback
In 2001, Manson suffered a serious injury requiring surgery. In 2008, the injury recurred, resulting in additional surgeries. After leaving AAA in 2009, he competed in independent promotions and in CMLL as part of Los Invasores. He returned to AAA in December 2010.
Legal troubles and return to wrestling
In June 2011, Manson was arrested for assaulting two police officers and sentenced to seven years and four months in prison. After his release in 2015, he returned to wrestling as Sharlie Rockstar at Lucha Libre Elite.
