His first promotion was Stu Hart’s Stampede Wrestling in Canada. After a few years of wrestling, Harry realized that he wanted something more than just local wrestling and headed to Japan to join the UWFI promotion. He won his first match by knockout in just 7 minutes. Unlike wrestling in the west, he didn’t have to make himself a clown or a showman. He would get in the ring and destroy all of his opponents. After the UFWI closed, he moved to All Japan Pro Wrestling. The tragic date fell on January 7, 2000. Harry entered the ring against local fighter Lucifer Grimm. During the match, Grimm performed a Cutter, after which Harry was no longer on his feet. Medics rushed to the ring, but Harry’s breathless body was no longer giving signs of life. He had all the right dimensions for wrestling at the time. After his successful performances, many offers came down on Larry. He was choosing between NJPW, AWA & WCW, but he chose the European promotion CWA, which was recommended to him by a friend. On December 13, 1993, Larry went out to fight, which turned out to be his last fight in his life. He fought against former British champion Tony Claire.
